New sketchbook

No new sketch here… i’m often busy during the weekdays, kalau aku busy, kalah menteri tu maybe i’ll update during this weekend. Btw, i bought a new sketchbook last sunday at Bismi for $7.50

I read a gossip at cari  about Siti and Datuk K, where he showed a picture of siti in her bikini (captured with his hp during their honeymoon vacation in Hawaii, posing atas kapal lagi tu ) to his friend. Haprak punya laki, i know u’re proud to have her as a wife, but sharing the pix to others is just ain’t right. Everybody is like “wahh!” imagining how siti looks like in bikini… wuuhuuu, i’m tempted to sketch that!!!! Siti in bikini?? Interesting!

Belacan

A very special friend of mine told me that my blog name is ‘out’ ehehe coz i use the word ‘belacan’ there… why belacan? Ntah ahh, i thought my sketchblog could represent local identity since orang brunei suka makan belacan, cacah sama mangga, nyum!! Hahaha, so this morning i came up with this quick simple sketch.

Belacan + pencil = belacanpencil (isn’t that cool?)

Belacan, is a common ingredient used in Southeast Asian and Southern Chinese cuisine. It is made from fermented ground shrimp, sun dried and then cut into fist-sized rectangular blocks. To many Westerners unfamiliar with this condiment, the smell can be extremely repulsive; however, it is an essential ingredient in many curries and sauces. Shrimp paste can be found in most meals in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and the Philippines often as an ingredient in dipping sauce for fish or vegetables. (Wikipedia)

Avril Lavigne

Sketched this while listening to Avril Lavigne’s latest album – The Best Damn Thing, which i downloaded from the net Nowadays, pirate is such a cool way of getting musics Free kali ahh!!

I think i should do caricature rather than focusing on face alone. Maybe my next sketch will be in a form of caricature. I love caricature more than potrait, well yeah, maybe next time.

Not a huge fan though, but i like her complexion very much… very sweet n good-looking… i asked my lil cousins who’s the girl on my sketchbook, they immediately shouted “helizaaaaa…”, but when i asked a big cousin, she responded “errr sapa ahh, macam kenal” Grrrrr… does that mean my sketch doesn’t look alike??? Haha nevermind :D

Welcome to my sketchblog

Why belacan? Nyaman kali buat sambal, slurppp, plus it symbolizes local identity… and why pencil? Because this is a sketchblog, mesti ada pencil!!

So, what’s the purpose of this blog? Whatelse other than to fill the empty slot of my boredom. In case i don’t have anything to do, i might just grab my pencil, sketchbook, eraser, do some sketches, scan them… and sit in front of my pc to do some colouring with adobe photoshop. The outcome of my sketches may not look that perfect, coz i won’t spend hours on them, am not an addict nor a geek, i have a life out there

I’ll make sure i’ll update this blog often, i’ll make sure i have time to spend some minutes on sketching, and another minutes on editing, how many minutes will that sum up totally? Hours? Ughh!! No way will i spend hours!!

So, below are the tools that i use for sketching…

 

That’s my favourite pencil, bought that in 1996 (karat sudah usulnya) and i still keep and use it until now, and that eraser is new actually despite its ugliness.
